Silly thread really but i wondered if anyone else has come across this.
My Dad is really scared of horses (i think he had a bad experience as a child) However, he is not scared of horses that are 'rounded' with 'fluffy' legs!! He will happily stroke a shire horse but runs a mile if say a TB came any where near!
I asked him why and he said 'the fluffy ones look like carthorses so they cant do much harm' erm father dear do you not think it would hurt quite a bit if a shire horse stood on your foot or kicked you
My OH is Australian and he had never seen a feathered horse before, he now loves them but keeps saying ' oh look babe there is a horse with fluffy hooves' bless!
Good job i am a feather lover
