menage costs

Can anyone give me a ball park figure re costs for a 40 x 20 menage? And any suggestions for a reputable company to do the work?

We did our own just hired someone with a JCB to dig out cost us around 7K

Definately use someone reputable. My old farmer had a menage built for us who had only done one previously. It turned out they used the wrong stone underneath (underneath all the membranes) -sandstone?? so when it got rained on it eroded quite fast and turned mushy - eventually it will clog up all the drainage. Unlucky lol

mine cost 16k with star track and sand surface , drains and fencing

We have literally just finished doing our own, all I had to pay for was materials, with drainage, stone, membrane and cushionride surface (that just needs levelling tomorrow) it has come in at just under £7k. However we do have our own JCB and have only had to hire a roller for 2 days.

That is for a 45 x 25.

. A menage is a "household" and the French laugh like drains when they hear of we English riding in our households. If you can't manage manege

, say arena!

While we're on languages, VSD doesn't stand for "very slightly dressage" either , it's shorthand German for "many uses(V) jumping (S) and dressage (D)", i.e, it's a GP saddle!
