Has anyone had a similar problem, my boy was diagnosed with a meniscle ligament tear in his stifle joint while undergoing key hole surgery at newmarket, he came back from a successful operation and was doing really well, but is now lame again showing exactly the same clinical signs as when he went to Newmarke

I am aware that a steroid injection is probably his other option, but wanted to know if anyone else had used this approach after an operation.

I take it you mean that he had a tear in the meniscus? My horse did the same thing, operated on in Newmarket (Rossdales) it was followed up by a steroid injection......that was now 2 years ago, he is still sound and has competing again at affiliated dressage. My vet said that they could inject more steroid if necessary, but fingers crossed, so far it hasn't been needed, and he is 17, so no spring chicken! Be guided by the Newmarket vets.
