Mercedes M Class... thoughts?

Hi all

as lots of you have 4x4s for towing, i thought i'd ask opinions... i'm thinking of getting a used Mercedes M class... maybe ML 270? I've read some good reviews, but i've also read something about Top Gear voting them the worst car in the world... so have any of you got one? what are they like?

i need something that'll fit a few saddles in the boot, and tow a little trailer with Raff in (if i EVER get off my butt and get him going again...)

They are lovely cars! Can also tow as much as a Disco and fit everything but the kitchen sink in!

that's what i thought... they have a MEGA towing capacity... i thought maybe there was something wrong with them... x

We was going to buy it then we test drived the Mitsubishi Shogun and went for that as it was cheaper and had lower emissions so cheaper road tax!

shogun sport is my 2nd fave
disco is the 3rd

i just think the mercedes look a bit more compact and easier to park... (i haven't even test driven one yet...)
