Well what can i say . . . .a bit of a bad day really!!!

She warmed up really well so i was feeling pretty hopeful for the BN. Went in and she jumped no1 and no2 really nice but came up to 3 disunited, she jumped it well but i think it put her off for the double which was next and we had both parts down. Jumped no5 and i messed about with her striding up to no6 so we had that down too. No 7 and no8 we fine but we looked at no9 messed up the striding but managed to clear the double ok but was out for no10 so had that down too. Very disappointed but she felt liked she jumped it really well.

The warm up for the Dis was game over as soon as i got on, she wanted to tank into the jumps and was then throwing a paddy when i wouldn't let her. She throw a massive paddy into one jump and cat leapt it smacking me in the face in the process so i am now sporting a lovely bruise under my chin. We went in anyway and had 5 down

So not a good day really. She felt like she was jumping well though but just not picking her feet up high enough

so any tips or advice welcome.

There are some pics and a vid of the BN in the gallery but please dont be too harsh. Its only her 3rd BSJA and she is only 4yo so i know we have a lot to work on but any contructive critism welcome.

Well done hon, its all a learning curve! Have commented in Gallery....

But you should be proud, not many 4yr olds are that confident in their jumping!

Aww thank you, i am very proud just a bit gutted as we done so well the week before. Saying that though out of 90 people on about 20 got into the jump off and only 4 went DC so i should be quite pleased.

No-one really had a good day and not many people came out with less that 8 faults.

Oh i will take a look.

I looked out for you all day but couldn't recongise you, there were so many bays with stars it was unbelievable lol.

Bad luck...sounds like it was a less than inviting course...and probably built extra tricky as it was a BC qualifier too. Put it down to experience and remember she's only a baby. At least she got round

Having heard the nightmare stories so far, i'm almost glad we didn't bother now

No the course wasn't that nice to be honest, even the more experienced horses were having a lot of trouble.

Vicky had 4 down as well in her round so that just goes to show the course wasn't nice as how experienced is her horse

i came down in time just to watch the 1.05 and only saw a couple of DC, the course looked tricky and it was freeeeeeeeezing!

well done to all who went and done it though, you are braver than me....

Oh Kelly, sorry to have missed your round. Don't be disheartend though, the course was a nightmare - couldn't believe how few double clears there were in the BN!
I did the discovery and she jumped fab apart from the first double which had been built next to the secretary's window - jumped in, spooked in the middle and ran out at the 2nd part. Sooo gutted cos hardly and DCs in this class either!

Yeah Senza spooked at the in the 2nd round too as it was the other way to the BN. Well done though
