Hi,

Ages ago you posted about your horse (the other one to pidge) and I posted saying I thought his colouring was like a chocolate with silver mane and tail Highland.

thanks for this, yes he does look like Sunny and is dappled as well! Certainly don't see many that colour around. Sunny is a tad lighter though his coat does change a lot from summer to winter whereas Pidge is just chestnut! The more me and sis look into it the more we think he could be highland, maybe not 100% but certainly a fair chunk of him is highland. Just a shame we can't track his breeding to find out for definate

My friend had a highland that colour and she was stunning... bred a fantastic gold colt foal too..... have waited forever to find a photo though so must be rare, not even one on the highland website!!!
 
I wonder how many people have seen a horse this colour then? I know I'd certainly never seen one that colour before I saw Sunny and I'm now 36!
