When my gelding has his hard feed he turns into a greedy guts and takes giant mouth fulls of it

But since he takes such huge mouth fulls most of it drops out of his mouth and ends up on the floor, and he won't eat it off the floor so 3/4 of his dinner goes to waste!

Can someone enlighten me on what to do? I've been told a bucket which hooks on the door will do him some good?

is there plent of fibre in the food?
My warmblood used to do this with the first mouthful but then he calmed daown and ate the rest nicely!

Maybe a hook over bucket so he can take bug mouthfuls although i dont like this unnatural eating position unless it is for a good reason.

Put some large pebbles/ worn bricks in his bucket so he has to pick around them. This worked for years for an old horse of mine who regularly choked before I added the bricks . They were old bricks rounded off.
