The fiancé and I headed out to see a friend on a farm outside of Johannesburg today. And we got to meet this little guy!

He likes to stay very close to mum.

Does anyone know why we don't get stripy horses? I would have thought the zebra genes and hugely different to horse ones so I would think horses should be able to carry that colour gene

What a cute little guy and how lucky are you OP to have all that sunshine? We wish !! Just as an aside ....my highland has really well defined zebra markings on all four of his legs, behind his knees and inside his hocks. Not too visible ATM due to his winter coat but really obvious in the summer.
