Last week we had two young girls on our yard and they were found going through one of the owners things outside their stable. They were told to leave and got a bit mouthy on the way out! Since then, I've been taking my tack and expensive rugs home with me. I'm now thinking of getting a heavy metal container that is lockable but have no idea where to find one? At the mo we have individual tack lockers that are wooden and locked with a padlock but you could easily unscrew the latch and get in. The girls have been padlocking the main door up since it happened but still worried about my tack. Any tips would be great, they would be unable to take the horses of the yard but it's just our stuff I'm concerned about.

Could you change the screws on your latch on your tack locker for coach bolts? These would be difficult to undo from the outside, might be a cheaper alternative buying a whole new container, or even getting a small shed alarm for your tack locker.

another vote for chest freezer, very mouse and waterproof too. If you have one that doesnt just bolt a big latch on with a big pad lock. Jobs a goodun-unless they just take the whole thing...
