Metalab bits- anyone used one?

We have just had these come into the shop and was wondering if anyone has ever used them? If so do you out the reins through the small gap on the bit ring.
Also they seem quite heavy????

Hi Charlie76,

My new horse came with a Metlab eggbut snaffle when I bought him. I attached the reins to the larger section in the middle so that there was no action on the poll.

I have to say even though he came with it I and he did not like it - he would back off it terribly and would not take up a contact. He now goes in a Myler mullen mouth.
