Apologies - I'm sure this has been covered before.
My boy is a sod for cocking his jaw and heading off into the horizon at speed. A grackle has sorted that, but I've had a hell of a job finding one that fits him properly. Now my understanding is that a Mexican should have the ring sitting about an inch or so above the cheek - but not pulled round so the ring presses on the prominent part of the cheek bone. Is this your understanding?
If I get that right (if that is right of course) - I then find its almost impossible to do the strap up below the bit without the buckle resting on his lips. I've tried Sabre in Cob and Full, and now a Kieffer. Think this one will work with a few more holes but just wanted everyones thoughts?
If anyone has a pic of a correctly fitted one they could post - that would be great. If I google it, I see all sorts!
Thank you.
