With him being so poorly in December it seemed a long time coming.
Took him to Leahurst Tuesday and they reassessed him. Still lame. What an angel he was, after nearly 4 months of box rest he was trotted up then lunged and he only had a half dozen silly pings that most would get from any horse after a night in the stable never mind months. He listened to voice and did exactly what was asked Talk about a saint, bless him!!
Left him there and they later tried to find what was wrong with right fore but because he was getting worse on his right hind(psd leg) they could only rule out the foot so if it isn't compensatory will have to look at it after the hind has healed (but I'm not thinking about that now!!)
They did the surgery for his PSD yesterday. I'm told it was a complete success and he recovered very well
Such a relief it is over as we all know the dangers of surgery on equines.
He should be home on Sunday
