ok well that has got to be a first...last night in the wee hours i'm woken by a sharp pain on my arm..flick the light on only to find i've been bitten by a mouse and its running around in my bed!!!!
if you've ever had a rough night this is one to top it i end up sleeping on the floor in the spare room having spent half an hour grouping around in the dark setting traps!!!!
it really is winter the mice have started coming in....
think i'd rater they stayed in the tack rooms

My only very close encounter with a mouse was when a foal was born at a yard. This yard was not the cleanest and had mice everywhere. Think parting of the waves when you went into the barn!!! EeeeeeK!!!!!

Anyway, I was leaning on the side of the stable watching the foal, when I felt this tap on my cheek, looked round to see this mouse waiting patiently for me to get out of the way!!!

Couldn't believe it, as, as soon as I moved it merrily trotted past!!!

This year we seem to have been invaded by mice!! No idea how they got into the house but they have. Have not heard any but found one stuck in the bath so re-homed it in the horses field shelter, well away from the house (it was gorgeous and could not bare to harm it).

Have got the mouse deterents plugged in around the house and none of them seem to work as still have evidence of mouse activity round the edge of my bath. We also have the trap that keeps them safe overnight for you to release them elseware in the morning - total waste of space. The food has always gone but no mouse is ever trapped!

The house is being renovated in the spring so the builder said he would deal with them then. I shall just have to slum it with the mice until then!!

share my bed with 3 cats thats how i think it got in...little present for me...just did'nt know mice bit first asked questions later....

baily......you genius. I had never thought to blame the cats!! I have been racking my brain trying to work out how the mouse + Houdini pal/s got in!! Often have 'gifts' left by the cats but they are usually deceased (or even worse on the verge of). Well, I prefer to think they were brought in by the cats rather than they have found an access route in and out of my home!!

loved to have got it out with out me or the darling cats killing it but at half 12 at night was'nt really thinking of mouse welfare and it did bite me first!!!!
