Michael Jennings Saddle Fitter - anyone used him?

I have to agree ... he spent more time telling me a very detailed version of his life story than he did checking the fit of my saddle.
Thought he was okay, but didn't convince me 100% with his final deliberation on the fit of my saddle. My friend also had him out a few weeks after me and he told us pretty much the same things despite us getting in touch with him about completely different issues.
He obviously knows a lot more about that sort of stuff than me, but just an observation!
 
Hmm, known him very many years but only ever used him for repairs althou did have him out once for saddle fitting just to find out what he was like so to speak, 18inch narrow-medium saddle on a 13.3hh short backed mare - yeah that's fine....... she's a 16.5 extra wide actually, no I didn't use the saddle he had said was ok, I used my marbles and got her one that fitted correctly.

Toni at Dovehouse has always been spot on with my ponies or Charlie (took over the workshop when Michael left) Michael is just down the rd from Dovehouse now, you can see his van as you drive thru the village.
 
We use him for checking saddles and adjusting flocking etc, he was fine he actually bothers to watch us ride the horses unlike lots of others, adjusts the saddle on site and made a huge improvement to my horses way of going after he sorted out my saddle, he does talk a bit but he helped a lot.
