A friend of mine in Germany has just told me that Michael Jung, young German eventer, has just won the German indoor eventing derby for the third time and sent me this link of him winning back in 06.

Looks fun (not sure though if dressage and sj come in to it) and thought you may like to see the vid. Also for the breeders and eventers who like Grafenstolz on here. Michael is his rider

it was in stuttgart a week or two before cardiff. gauntlett did it and i hear he said the surface was fab (it needed to be they have world cup driving there also) but the fences were not as full on as cardiff but the spectators absolutely loved it. think joe meyer went as well.

Weeks ago. *scratches head* No dressage, no SJ, well sometimes they have one SJ in it, just a little show or display if you like before the tournament really starts (always Wednesday evening, there you go). It’s no surprise M. Jung wins it all the time, no one else taking part, local hero pretty much the only rider in all of south of Germany, and let’s say…his style of riding favours him in such “events” – just mho of course. …You posted it twice??? *scratches head some more*

Nope - definitely not Michael Jung

.

IMO a very good young event rider. His dressage is superb (which is why he leads most events from day 1) and he looks after his horses very considerately. Bearing in mind he's won the 6 and 7yr old Young Event Horse Classes at Lion D'Angers (above all international competitors), Compiegne this year etc I'm not sure he can be all that bad??
