Mickey is Naughty

Gave Mickey a nice shampoo and hose off today.

He seemed to really enjoy it.

Afterwards I thought I would walk him around the fields to dry off. Well, he showed me up in front of clients having riding lessons and other liveries. He kept looking at me, arching his neck and rearing straight up into the air. Every time I tried to stop him by pulling the rope in short intervals he went up. In the end I elected to put him in the stable and tie him up.

I normally let him roll whenever he likes, but not after all the elbow grease taken to clean those white bits!!!

He, he, sounds like he was having a laugh at your expense. Horses, don’t you just love them!!??!!
Bet he looks oh shiny and white now though after his bath!
 
It is for this reason that I am thinking in-hand showing might be a bad idea.

Normally he is fine to lead about but obviously washing and shows are too exciting.

He does look good except he did eventually roll in his stable, but I had a cotton sheet on him!

I washed my pony today and the first thing she did afterwards was roll in her stable. She got up looking like a haystack!
 
I bathed flash on monday, by tuesday he looked worse that he had in the first place. Little git digs in the dust and mud to make sure its all loose then rolls in it.
