As above really. I'm quite interested in buying one but what do you guy think off them? Who uses them and what's your views on them. Thanks

I think that they are ugly.

However I have heard mainly good things about them. The only bad thing I have heard is that the plastic clips (that clip onto the bit) can rub the horse's face raw in a short time (one ride) if the horse is fine-skinned. So if your horse is sensitive, don't use the plastic clips. :)

My horse was wearing one with his old owner - she works for Horseware! Tbh he goes much better in a normal bridle. He leaned a lot in it.

They are ment to miss the nerve endings in the face hence the shape.

Sorry, but how could this possibly be true?? The face has thousands of nerve endings, your entire skin is full of them. You cannot possibly invent a bridle to miss nerve endings unless you rode without a bridle fullstop. It sounds to me like some clever marketing.

Never tried one so can't comment on the pros or cons.

Personally, I think it looks as if someone has whacked a hybrid drop/worcester noseband on a lunging cavesson, clunky and not the most attractive piece of equipment to my eye, still, if it works...

enfys - I really don't think they do work as I cannot imagine why anyone would want the end result that my lad had. Also you aren't able to tighten the noseband much so really you'd be better off without a noseband as that's really the only difference between it and a normal bridle?

I am going to have to go and find out just how they are supposed to work, I'd never seen one before. Wouldn't it be easier to just use a Worcester, a drop or even a Kineton which would have the same kind of (or would it?) effect on the nose as this would appear to have.

Right then ---> Google...Micklem - lesson for the morning.

Hmmm, I see, designed for comfort...at THAT price I should think so too!

Bit of discussion about it on the Bitless Horse Association forum:

What horseware say is, they miss the exit points for facial nerves which can be a reason why the horse rubs his nose on their legs after a while as a normal noseband can numb the nose.
I'm not hearing anything good about them, iv just looked at one, don't seem very good leather if I'm honest

MY RI likes them - but its all horse for courses :)
the ones without the plastic clip and noseband 'ring' are the competion ones.. i *think*

I don't believe that. I never do my cavesson (no flash) noseband up tight, infact I often ride without it and my mare still likes to rub her nose on her knee.

Ummm it is very interesting what they are saying to sell these bridles even if it is untrue but I'm gona do a bit off research later on the nerves etc in the face. Iv watched their free DVD where they try to put their point across to you but I would need good feed back first before I try one at that price and there isn't any it would seem
