Micklem bridle and a standing martingale

Do you think you could use a standing martingale with a Micklem bridle?

I know you can't use one with a drop, but this is slightly different. I think you probably could, but I'm not sure!

I just prefer the more direct action of a standing over a running.

Well I would have thought so as I use my Micklem noseband as a cavesson never as a drop noseband - there is enough movement on the roundings to twist the straps to do this with
