Am thinking of trying one out on my mare but she is a tricky bridle customer at the best of times - she is usually in an overall cob bridle but with pony cheek pieces depending on what bit we use (ie hanging cheek snaffle or pelham), a full noseband and a full headpiece as she has a broad Arab head.

Are we a no go for the micklem or does anyone happen to have fitted one to similar size?

Thinking of going for a black multibridle as have a black Flexee saddle on her and we don't do much in the way of competing, although I wouldn't rule this out, plus I like the idea of the lunge cavesson.

Given the way the cob turns out quite small on my 15h cob X tb I think cob could fit yours. There is a fair amount of room for adjustment in length

Thanks people, rara that is my worry too... Skewbald I wonder if cob is the same as small horse these days as it doesn't seem to be available as a size anymore.

My 14hh 70% Arab 20% Tb 10% Welsh with a straight face didn't fit any micklem well enough to use :(

Friend of mine had the same problem with her 14hh Highland. The only way she would have been able to use a Micklem would be if she bought several different sized bridles and 'mixed-and-matched'!
