Micklem bridles

I think you just need to borrow one to try. Some horses seem to like them, some don't notice a difference. If your horse is sensitive in the head and has issues then definately try it. My mare is sensitive and I bought one literally a week ago, I find she seems to be more comfortable and goes nicer in it than a normal bridle. I tried one before a few months ago and didnt notice much difference but I didnt put much effort into getting it to fit exactly right so make sure you do!

Pony has turned up in one. Goes OK - yawns a lot when it comes off which is making me think he doesn't like the drop type nose. Going to try him in a normal cavesson and see if there is any difference.

Some go better, some no change and some go worse

It made no difference to my boy, he seemed marginally happier in a normal cavesson. It wouldn't stop me trying again in future though!

I bought one for Mr B and he is much happier in it but it suits some horses more than others. I only tired one because he was a bit unsettled in his mouth and tended to lean on the bit.
