Microchips??

Sorry, would've posted on Breeding but couldn't access the "post" bit due to 'Adverts'.

Can anyone tell me if/how you can access information from your horse's microchip? Is it just the vet that can source origins/information or...who? I believe the first 3 digits can tell you the origin - or maybe someone can tell me??

hmmmmmmmm not sure but if you have the microchip number you can sometimes search on sites like weatherbys.. or i think it was weatherbys... wow i'm a lot of help aren't I. Basically yes I think you can track it and identify the horse although possibly not where its been/owners as that should be in passport anyway?
