Just a little warning. I am sure we have all seen posts for found dogs which state "microchipped but details not up to date", often accompanied by people urging pet owners to check their details are updated. I admit I had never done this, my animals were chipped by me and I am still at the same address, however the other day thought I would just double check. Out of 3 animals, only one was registered with my details, the others were shown as chipped but no further details ! The one that was registered was one of 2 cats who were done at the same time, yet only one had been registered, the dog was bred by me so I would have thought I would have shown as both breeder and owner, but no. A quick phone call did resolve this, but can I suggest everyone checks, even if like me you are sure your details will be correct.

Would help if my 5 weren’t all registered with different schemes 🙄 I’ve tracked down 3 of them.... no idea who Amy is registered with, it was 11 years ago.... and it doesn’t look like Ace was transferred to me! Hey ho, I’ve not managed to lose Amy in 11 years however much I’ve tried 🙄😂😂

ETA - all tracked down now! Phew!

When we got Bo, we had his chip scanned at the vet so that we could get ownership transferred over. (Previous owner couldn’t find paperwork). His chip had never been registered. I assume they hadn’t bothered, but now I wonder.

A useful reminder, I check ours annually, at booster time, and also under the additional information section have added the various medical conditions the dogs have and an upto date list of their medication. I have also added "treat regardless of cost".
