We have a horse with an Irish passport and who is microchipped with the code in her passport. According to the information I have been reading the passport is ok So she should need reregistering but her microchip doesn’t come up on the central database. How do we get her microchip on the system?

I registered my horses German microchip which hadn’t been registered elsewhere with the Kennel Club who deal with foreign breeds. I think it cost £17 and it was all done online and the paperwork received by email. Took me a while to find out where to get it done but was simple to complete.

If the UELN number in the passport begins 372414 contact Northern Ireland Horse Board. They're a UK PIO linked to the Irish Horse Register so you should be in the CED through them. We're currently doing that for our Irish horse.
