My horse is on ulcerkind and 500g equijewel but I’ve never noticed Equi-Jewel helping him he gets a little scoop of linseed 100g I’m wanting to cut him off the equijewel As I don’t believe it’s working and I’ve stuck with it all winter and going to up the linseed he’s 17.2 and probably 700kg how much can I feed he has two feeds a day and vet / dentist has checked and has come to the conclusion he’s simply a hard keeper he’s out 24:7 on grass

A quick google says this: As a guide, we recommend between 125 - 500g per day for a pony (this is roughly equivalent to 1/2 - 2 mugs full per day). For a horse we suggest between 250 - 1000g per day (this is roughly equivalent to 1 - 4 mugs full per day). It is important to always feed to maintain a suitable body weight and condition.

I fed my 700kg horse a mug twice a day and she gained weight, although no idea what that weighs.

What kind of linseed are you feeding?
My 14hh 400kg pony was on a balancer cup full of science supplements micronised linseed in morning and evening feed through the winter, she tends to drop off hard after Xmas especially when we’re hunting a lot and this kept her just right.
Cut back quite a bit now she’s in less work and getting more grass though, otherwise she’d be the size of a house!
