Mine are still in

Although the ground has dried up a lot I still do not have a lot of grass. It seems the frost has really slowed things down this year. I have been letting them out in a starvation paddock in the day but even that is not completely dry around the edges. Had fields rolled today, just need temperatures to pick up a bit now. I want to put them out sooooo badly! Hows things with you?

Out 24/7, starting to leave rugs off some days. Starting to also worry about them getting fat as grass is really coming through...

Out at the moment. She seems ok & is a NF so she doesn't suffer unless weather is particularly bad.

Only have her in if the weather is really rough in winter but even then she is out during the day unless it is stormy weather. She does need to be rugged in the winter so she is a bit of a wuss. Not entirely sure her dad is who her papers say he is. She's very Arabby at times & I've had others tell me/ask me if she is Arab cross. Even somebody who used to breed them

'The boys' (cob and oldie) have just started staying out this week as we now have some reasonable grass coming through. Tough cob has been naked yesterday and today but have left 33 yr old in a lightweight cos I'm a softy!

'The girls' (mare & 8 month foal) have been out naked since last summer!

They have had a couple of nights in when it's been extreme (snow, floods etc) but otherwise have been having hay morning and evening to keep their collective strength up!!

Not yet and am getting very impatient! Hopefully if it stays dry-ish they'll go out in the next couple of weeks. Our grass is also coming through now as they are starting to put a bit more weight on, but the ground is still so boggy.

I'm keeping ours on half day turnout only as I have TOO much grass.

Maybe I should ebay off the spare grass? Or swap for a bare paddock?

Mine are out, have been naked in the day but it is still a bit chilly. Really wish the grass would grow, getting a bit low on hay now.

Ours still arn't.

They were supposed to be going out at the beginning of the month but apparently they are now going out next week.

Im not too fussed though as they are both happy coming in at night at the moment.

mine are out from this week older one rugged day and night youngster rug off in day as he happier with it off if weather drops will pull them back in

Mine moved into a fresh field on Sat and have pigged out ever since!! they are still in at night, they had the rugs off yesterday and had a buck fart and a roll but gone out in rain sheets today... roll on summer

The boys have been out since mid Feb & the mare went out about 3wks ago but wears a thicker rug at night. They are still receiving 2 feeds & lots of haylage & seem happy as larry.

Mine are always out 24/7

Field is totally dry, grass is coming through and am cutting back feeds drastically!!

*phew* Winter is as good as over!!

Out?! Pff?!! Still getting snow flurries & white over with hailstones up until yesterday, then frozen over last night. Field still a bog with no grass growing yet!! Mine will have to be out by 10th May though as I'm off on hols for a week and my dad will go on strike if they are still in by then!!
Roll on summer.

Mine are the same - a hard frost this morning. Every night I take them in and it looks like they got caught in a slurry pit, the muck that's on them

Oh when will it end

. By the 26th April, that's when. I am going to a wedding and will be getting happily sozzled all day in retribution for a winter of being my ponies stable-slave

On our yard they are never out 24/7, they have to come in every night although during winter day time grazing is not restricted so I'm more than happy with grazing arrangements.

No not yet, we've just let them on the spring grass that has rested these past 4 months, so want them to get used to that before going on it 24/7
