As title really - thinking of entering some dressage in next few weeks but want to know if the arena is spooky and if so anything in particular to spook at? My horse can be quite spooky and its not the closest of venues to us, so don't really want a wasted journey

Thanks

I used to go there loads when I lived in Leeds. Lovely big indoor school but can be spooky as the 2 long sides are partially open overlooking the stables on either side so plenty to look at if your horse is that way inclined

Probably no worse than many other places though!

Hi, I went there for the first time on Sunday. Mine really didn't like the area between B & C (M = Monsters, claims Molly), but I watched a few and certainly wasn't the only one to have 'issues' with that corner.

That aside, I really liked it. The surface was nice, it was well organised and the marking and comments were exactly how I felt it rode (IYKWIM). I will go back again, definately. The parking is 'cosy' though. We looked into the price of hiring it (£35 for an hour in the big arena for up to 3 horses) to try and make it slightly less spooky as well.

(Of course, the fact I liked it might be swayed by the fact my clever mare managed to get placed in both her classes! *proud*)
