Im looking for a M/W turnout for the ancient TB. Have my eye on two at the local tack shop. The Amigo Plus which is black with orange binding and also the Joules / WB combo turnout. Theyr both roughly the same weight think the Amigo is 20g less fill. Are they worth £99 for the Amigo & £89 for the WB/Joules?!! Seems a lot for a M/W rug & also not sure about putting my horse in polka dots or pink binding! We're old school!! Anicent TB will raise her eyebrows at both! What do you think? Well done for getting this far!!

amigo rugs are good and fit well, prefer them to a WB. you might find one cheaper on internet if you look around, but dont think that price is too bad.

I just bought an amigo plus MEDIUM 200g on ebay with a hood for £63 plus postage. Haven't tried it yet as she's getting clipped on Saturday but I like the quality of amigo rugs.

No idea if they are any good but just found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOP-CLASS-HOOFIT-O...=item3ca622bdd7
Looks quite like the horsewear ones and seems a high denier?

see now Im goin towards the Amigo, she does have a few dif weight Rhinos. Has anyone got the Joules/WB rug? What do you think of the fit, is it Saxon/ Landa fit ?? the print puts me off!!!

I love the landas too. Though i prefer the bigger shoulder gussets for big shouldered warmblood. But i have one on my 15.3hh Belgium Warmblood and one on my 8.1hh Shetland hehe. I got mine from equestrian clearance.I also have some lovely rugs from rich and sons which i adore.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of when I should be using a medium t/o rather than a lightweight one? My mare is still wearing her light t/o and is getting a reasonably thick coat now (think she's a TBXNF/Welsh) and seems to be warm enough when I bring her in during the morning .

I've bought an Amigo Medium tonigh, for £45, from Hey Farm Saddlery (Discount Saddlery on Ebay).

I think it's still warm/mild and Star will be wearing her lightweight until it turns a touch colder. She has an Irish Clip.

I have already put Frank(ISH) in his middle weight full neck turnout. He is out 24h at the mo and his field is very bleak and open with no shelter (north Cambridgeshire fens). He isnt too warm at all.

I've recently bought the black and orange Amigo and have been really impressed with it...bought mine from Robinson's for £89 instead of £99!
