Midges!

Is it me or have they been really bad the last few days???
My horse who has sweetitch anyway, is really suffering at the moment, she is constantly wrapped up in her fly rug, bless her, I've even forgotten what colour she actually is!
lol...
Please tell me someone else has bad midges too at the mo...

they are dreadful down here in gloucestershire too! my 17 hand horse also has sweetitch and isn't a happy boy. I keep getting them stuck under my contact lenses too as they seem drawn to my eyes when I havent got my glasses on

not only the midges

but has anyone else had excessive amounts of mosquitos?!? they seem to be constantly buzzing around my head and i presume its not because i smell bad but because of the weather

they're dreadful here. last night i let the dogs out at about 10pm and about 50 midges zoomed straight in the door!
my 2 yr old is showing signs of sweetitch for the first time in her life. she lives in a totally windswept field, too.

Yes, plenty of midges around and also mossies in the house!!

There have been hundreds of mosquitoes ( at least I think they are lol) here the last few days, never seen more than a few before! The horses are just covered in them in the evenings

. Midges haven't been that bad thankfully.

They are horrendous at the moment. I had to work my horse at 7.30pm this evening so I covered us both is loads of fly spray and they didn't bother us at all. Sitting here in the quiet I can hear them buzzing about around me!
