Generally i feel like everything is continuing to get less frantic, and even when a bit of neck tension creeps in we just about maintain everything else!
Trot work-lots of give and retakes, so each time he wants to shorten and rush, steady from the seat then a give to settle him and lengthen the neck. bit of SF to push him to outside rein.
canter- on right rein LY in from track to 3/4 line to help keep him off the left shoulder and on left rein a bit of SF again to keep him stepping under. I feel like ive got more gears in the canter now and more self carriage, he still comes BTV at points BUT doesnt lose the connection and jump along with it now, so its getting easier to push him back up and out to the hand again
he does makes me smile, he's always so cheerful and keen to get on with that days job!
