My pony midnight recently passed away and considering she suffered from hoof problems all her life, she didn't actually die from that! Typical! Anyway, I thought it would be quite interesting to show you what this horse suffered from over the past 18 months:
This was her foot last year when the abscess broke out onto her leg. Our farrier was in great shock when he saw this for the first time!
Midnight suffered from cushings and sadly because of the condition of her feet, led her to becoming extremely thin.
She was 20 years old and she had abscess's in all 4 hooves and we got through quite a bit of Epsom salts!!
Goodbye Midnight...
