as fox is fully clipped when ive been riding ive been using an exercise sheet to cover his butt.

question is, should i put a lightweight rug on to lunge ?

feel like a right idiot! just dont want him to be cold or to strain anything.

I feel mean stripping my horses MW rug off and leaving him naked while he does groundwork in the paddock so i've bought a fleece exercise sheet and a paddock roller to hold it in place so his shoulders are free to move on the lunge. theres also a new design exercise sheet with a built in sort of neck strap i believe thier called walker rugs as likely inventred for horses using the horse walker machine but they looked a bit pricy and seeing as i already had lots of ride on sheets i just got a paddock roller which is like a padded rug roller with a clip on breast plate to stop his exercise sheet slipping back keeps him warm and wicks away the sweat so i'm happy he isn't getting a chill
