Anyone on here use Milbourne Equine in Ashford?

What they like, who would you recommend equine vet wise from there to ask for? Looking to start using them potentially.

I prefer Lady Dane as Milbourne tend to have alot of vets who are newly qualified plus Lady Dane seems to be far cheaper costs wise.

I've had a few of them out. It's a very close call between Reuben and Howard, but I like David too.

Reuben has an excellent reputation and is very experienced and I would trust him with everything. If i know it's Reuben that's coming out for anything, then it's as if I sigh a little sigh of relief. I've also witnessed him dealing with a horrendous horse injury which required PTS and he did it in a very professional and caring way.

A few years ago, Howard came out for an emergency when my horse had colic symptoms. He did a very thorough examination, drained 20litres of fluid via my horse's nose and advised for him to be taken to Bell Equine for hopefully overnight observation more than anything else. He also very recently came out for an emergency and gave first aid treatment and care instructions for what looked like an extremely serious leg injury, and he then came back 3 days later to do scans and he diagnosed inflammation in my horse's one suspensory ligament branch. He then offered the perfect advice to treat it including the rehab process afterwards. He took his time with everything - it felt as if he was willing to spend all day with my horse - and he answered all my questions very thoroughly.

A friend has had David McDonald out for a colic case, and he was extremely practical in his advice and a very pleasant guy to have dealt with.

Oh if you're in the Lady Dane area - Emmanuel Engeli is the best vet I've ever come across. He's a genius. But I think he only does lameness diagnostic cases now and only on one day of the week, so he'd be very difficult to get hold of I think.

Thanks everyone.

I'm in the area to be covered by Milbourne, Lady Dane, Newnham Court and Bell.

I had Bell Equine out in end. Not 100% I'll be staying with them long term but used them for now.

Agree. He is amazing - operated on my horse years ago when he was at Bell. Sorry OP no idea on Milbourne.
