My unclipped boy is sweating in this mild weather. His coat is over an inch long and thick, really damp today. I put a fleece on him this afternoon as I didn't want him to chill as the temperature dropped.

Any one else having this happen?

This used to happen to my 12 y.o. mare every winter. Her coat comes in really thick and long. I gave her a bib clip this year and she seems much more comfortable. She hasn't been sweaty at all!

the weather is a nightmare from one extreme to the other im suffering with this as well

I often have this problem with my irish draught x. its hard to know what to do when the weather is so unpredicable at the moment!

Im just playing it by ear at hte moment and trying to be as flexible as possible but may end up having to give a bib clip.

Not surprising the temp here has altered by 18 degrees in the last fortnight!

-6C then up to +12C today

CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY

Mines clipped, so forever changing rugs...........

Yep...Sec C seriously p****d off with the weather....sweating in the stable as thick coat and too warm:)
Now the poor boy is either wet from sweat or wet from rain....he can't win:)
