I was thinking about this last night, probably cos I was too hot, and my brain curdled - good old milk pellets, whatever happened to them ?? i suspect they are totally dietarily (is that a word?) incorrect, but omg, they were good for putting weight on my TB all those years ago.

Showing my age (again) :)

I remember them well ! My daughter (35 this year) used to sneak into the feed room and wander out with chubby cheeks bulging!!! She was 3 at the time.

I remember using milk pellets in the 70s and 80s - loved the smell. Also used to feed the occasional half a pint of guiness as well. i think that was around the time that wormers used to come in screw top tins (Equizole???)

I used to love eating them they were as good as they looked . Funnily enough saw some in the shop on display at our local wynstay last week :)

I had some for feeding up my skinny TB when I was a teenager but my mum refused to buy anymore after one of our labs got in the feed room and ate them, she was so bloated she literally looked like a barrel but fortunately didn't come to any harm.

I fed them to my baby horse in 1981. I also gave my mare a guiness once a week when she was in foal! So yes I'm old.

I remember using them years ago to put weight on a youngster that didn't need extra energy, i'm sure they were cattle ones I bought from local feed store.......Probably half the price of horse ones too ;)
