Hi sorry am a bit confused re dilution of milk . I have 2 kits , 1 which is strips for urine samples that test pH , would you test the milk as is or dilute ? . The other one does calcium but is a liquid test kit for fish tanks , do i need to dilute this one ? . Thanks for your help

Just get the swimming pool/spa strips, the 4 or 5 way ones which test ph and calcium. They're less than a tenner. Get some distilled water from a chemist, supermarket or car supplies shop. Take 2 10cc syringes. Load one with 6cc of distilled water. Milk 1cc from the mare. Squirt the water into the milk syringe. Put your test strips in and take the readings. 6.2ph or below and around 800 calcium means your mare should foal within 48 hours but generally within 24 hours.
