Just read an article about adding Milk Thistle to a pony just recovering from Lami ... has anyone started adding this to feeds and what benefit if any you've found. I'm trying to work out what is best for my little boy

I used the forage plus Milk thistle powder last year on a pony that was suffering from laminitis, I didn't see any real difference, it is supposed to be good for clearing toxins etc so cant imagine it would do any harm to try, I might reintroduce it when the grass starts flushing again.

I swear by Ronfields restore and I have also used Hilton Herbs Liver/kidney Detox before and following jabs, wormer or any drugs
I have just bought milk thistle seed powder but so far he tips his bucket over and will have none of it

Would love to read the article if it is on-line as with my pony with ems blood results show when he starts having a problem there is some sort of liver upset but thankfully no liver damage

Not Milk thistle but Lami Free I have started again it to my "at risk" gelding, although D&H say there is no proof it stops it, there is nutritional base products in there to aid the horse to deal with it.
