Looking to go to the June Milton Keynes event and not sure whether I should do the Intro or the PN. I've (hopefully) got an intro run at Borde Hill in a few weeks so will know for sure then whether to do PN or not but really just looking for any info on the intro/PN courses at MK.

I've seen the pics on their website but it's difficult to tell just by looking at the pics alone. Can anyone compare the PN to the courses at S of E or Nurstead (those are the ones I have seen ridden).

I have heard that it's a really nice venue with a good atmosphere.

Any info appreciated....

Im going to go to Milton Keynes in June and I think im going to do the Intro with my 5yr olds as they would have run at Stratford Hills in the PAVO 5yr old the weekend b4 so want them to have an easy run.

It depends on how confeident you/the horse is, as a rule the PN isnt too bad and certainly not bigger or more technical then Nurstead but they can put the odd corner combination in or something like that. But if you have done Nurstead PN I would worry about doing a PN anywhere to be honest! That was like a small Novice

MK is fairly straighforward but NOT ideal first PN run IMO.

The lay of the land has a lot to do with it, after the second fence you start a long decent to fence 3 which is usually a double of logs the 2nd part offset.
They occasionally put in a double of corners, skinnies with NO alternative and fences before and after the water wtih a fairly decent size trakhener.

The SJing also causes a few probs.

Im aiming for Salperton that weekend.

I've not been there as bit of a trek for me but a friend of mine took her youngster to MK PN couple of weeks ago she thought that the course was beefy she didnt run hers in the end so dont know how it rode.

Thanks for the info everyone, perhaps the safest bet would be Intro in June and then PN in August, especially if the alternatives are limited.

Ditches/water/drops are all fine but I do hate skinnies!!
