The showng world i realise is a strange place! I have an M/M & Miniature which i show with MHCGB as im from the North. I accompanied a friend to both Windsor and Three Counties and am just amazed why BMHS members put up with the ridiculos method of measuring their prized posetions before being able to compete. It was an gestapo like procedure!! No two horses where measured in the same place, either ground or on their bodies?? Havbing ridden for 20 years, i wouldnt like my saddle fitting where some of the minature measures think the withers are!! Surely on a height based society the only unbiassed, accurate measurement can be achieved by professionals?
