Mineral/Vitamin Licks

Hi All

My 2yo welsh A is on a diet of grass (fetlock long in the field), a slice of hay at night and a handful (literally a handful and this is only to say good boy for being caught) of "safe and sound" for dinner (no brekki). I cannot really add any supplements to his dinner as it is so small it ends up all supplement and no munchies.

So, my question is - do any of you have any suggestions for a good, all round vit/min lick that is low or no sugar and does not leave my boy looking like he has done 10 rounds with a swedish mud wrestler....

Oh and he is round - literally round - his back is completely flat and seems to put on weight just by looking at food ..... bit like his mum really.....

A hymalian salt block is the only thing I would use.

I use the big square Rockies licks (with the hole in the middle) - at the moment I am using the yellow ones (extra selenium apparently as land is low in selenium) but I also use the red ones. They like both . . . so do I, rock hard, last for ages and they can't "eat" them.

Ah - should have said - he has one of these already - loves it - actually really strange because he obviously uses his all the time but my mare doesn't use hers at all....
