Mini Gets Prosthetic Leg

I just have to share this video of a little mini that got a lifesaving prosthetic leg, I got tears when they showed him going for a run the first time he tested the artificial leg out -- he must feel like a million bucks being able to run and play now!

Aww that's so sweet! So good that he can finally run free like all the others there. Just wondering, how was he able to stand before if he only had 3 1/2 legs? Would he not fall over?
Sorry if that sounds stupid, I am dim
