thanks

YES!! She would be fine to be driven!!! not to small at all!!! Inky is about 32.5" and he is broken to harness but not yet broken to drive. Dont spend money on a harness from the UK as most are too big and poor quality and those that are good are expensive!! I imported mine from the US and its fab!!

Stinkbomb - where did you get your harness from? I'm struggling to find one small enough, yet decent quality. Can only find dangerously cheap, or too big!

She could be driven, but will have limits with regards to hills, time driven, weight pulled. Maybe consider doing a bit with her as a single for now, with a view to having a pair later on?

hello.. I got mine from KayJay farms, USA...http://www.tackforminis.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=237

It cost me about £250 including harness, padding, bit and harness bag and shipping including import tax. I had to ask fo the noseband seperate as it doesnt come with one and for a side check rather than an overcheck. I love it!!!! Inky is abvout 32.5" and my harness is a medium size. You can get brown and brass Heres some pics:-

*Drive her, Drive her, Drive her*

She is seriously adorable :') Think I might be getting an obsession with driving and ponies now. Hehe!

Yes Defo drive her! For all of you looking for miniature driving harness, Zilco will be launching the Miniature SL Harness very very soon so keep your eyes peeled!! :-)

The Zilco Mini SL Harness will be available for purchase at the end of Feb. Zilco will be launching the Harness at the BETA international show next month

I drive a 33" single mini shetland (as you may be able to tell... eyes left) and we do indoor driving as well as club events ie a scaled down version of horse driving trials. She's also happy out and about for a fair few miles with 2 of us in the carriage, although I prefer to compete with just me on board and a groom nearby for safety. With small ponies, strapping lots of them together is the way forward!
I know people who drive much smaller ponies than that! As long as you have a willing pony, they are more than capable. They are also capable of making it look like really hard work if they aren't up for it, so be guided by the pony's attitude to work overall.

hi there i know its been said already, but yes!!!drive her, i have miniatures but dont drive, however i have a 29" shetland mare that my children learnt to ride on. i broke her at 4 years old and she took to it like a duck to water...she really enjoyed it...unfortunatly she broke her leg a few years ago and although she is fine now i cant drive her, which is what i wanted to do when she finished her "riding" career......
she is now destined to live out her life as a fat lazy mare...which i am sure she is quite happy about..he he

all the best with your driving
