Hi - I wonder if anyone has any experience of loaning out ponies. I have had our two since they were foals and both are now 5. One has been backed and is a nice little lead rein but lacks a jockey now and the other has had tack on but not had a rider on yet for same reason. Both are so well behaved and are mini shetland x falabella and just love attention. We feel they would thrive more in a home where there are children again who could spend more time with them as they were so used to all that before my niece moved away so I think they miss the endless grooming, leading around and just general fuss being made of them. We have thought long and hard about it and as I say would prefer for them to have a home with more attention but would prefer to loan rather than sell as I would hate for them to be sold on and on and be split up. They are half sisters born half an hour apart. I've heard good and bad about loan homes and i wondered what others thoughts would be on this. They get on well with our other mini and our two horses and are very sociable.
We had tried advertising locally to see what the general interest would be but to be honest from the replies we got back there were none that were of interest.
Any advice much appreciated xxx
