A lot of people have recommended miniture poodles as they don't shed (much/at all) and are actually one of the most intelligent breeds. Does anyone have one, and what are your thoughts? Or an alternative of a similar size that is friendly and easy to do. Possibley some sort of terrier? NOT jack russels though! xx

Miniture poodles are cool, when they are not spoilt and pampered and allowed to use their phenomenal brain power they are fab dogs, I have a little rescue mini poodle (as in not mine, a rescue to be rehomed) and she is a full on little character:D I would highly recommend them to the right home.

I have a Wire haired Fox terrier x JRT, and i think he is fab! Does need 'brain work' as well as a good run but he settles really quietly at home. I would consider a full WH Fox Terrier another time.
Eeeek! Im becoming a terrier convert!

We have a WH fox terrier and would definitely recommend them. She's brilliant with all people, childeren, other dogs etc., very laid back and takes everything in her stride, nothing seems to faze her. I can't recommend enough.

I had always been a snob against poodles. And then I met some, for real. I LOVE them! I groom some that are hyper and horrible, but that's only cos they've been allowed to BE that way. But they are intelligent, do not moult, are high energy but can laze about lovely too. ooooh, another photo op!

DOES NOT MOULT (though sometimes when I'm brushing stuff comes off...but that's hair breaking. A much shorter hair cut sorts this out - this is mine with a lotta fluff)

and always wants to be part of the action - he's far more interested in the toy that Chet has rather than the biccies that my husband has! LOL
