hi just looking for any info good or bad on this breed of dog as i have been offered a young bitch, but it isnt a dog i know anything about so any info would be greatly appreciated so i can make an informed decision thanks
 
I've only known two.....both were lovely but not the most trainable (read stubborn ;) ) but that's not to say they're all the same. Corgi's are meant to be stubborn and Jack was easy a pie.
 
Clean, friendly, happy little things, big dog in a small body. They love to snooze and slob around but they can go for miles if needed.
I like them a lot. Of course I like most things German :p :)
They do need stripped and/or clipped though.

GinaB has one, and I think MerlinsQuest has two (where is she???) hopefully they will be on later :)
 
We have a mini schnauzer cross mini poodle and she's a brillant dog. she seems to be more schnauzer like than poodle both in looks and temperament. She's very well behaved, intellgent, fun and happy to sit on your knee or walk for miles. We are thinkng of getting a mni schnauzer.
 
thanks do you find tey get on with other dogs and kids as i have 2 kids and another dog who is really friendly and chilled so this is also important cos if he doesnt get on with it it wont work he was here first
 
As CC said, I have the joy of a mini schnauzer. Mine is now 9 years old. She is a cracking wee dog, and as CC said a big dog in a little dogs body. She can be very stubborn and affection is on her terms only and she can be stand offish with strangers. That could be just her though. She walks for miles, loves other animals and loves being out and about but at the same time she is very chilled out and is happy with a 20min dander if I don't have time for a long one. They really are great wee dogs with fab personalitles.

ohhh she is so gorgeous, is it better to clip them or strip? i cant wait to meet this dog now thats been offered to me hope it all goes well with my other doggy
