Where exactly is the proximal cannon ? Ive had xrays on my boy and he has had two fractures /splints in the cannon bone area one from a kick injury.
I have just done a search on your description and yes I have had two running concurrently.They need between 6 to 8 weeks rest turnout is ok but restrict paddock size.The cannon bone heals like a hairline fracture so he will be sore.I lunged my horse yesterday and for the first time he showed no lameness.If you need to ask anymore questions you can pm me.Its just rest and time off im afraid.The good news is that the bone will be stronger after it has healed.
