My show horse capped her hock in the summer & luckily was only slight. Initially we tried sweating the fluid out & have used DMSO & lemon juice on it & is hardly noticeable although im very concious of it! Were goin 2 grow her tail long 2 try & hide it but i wondered if any1 had n e cures or tips to try & reduce it further!

Thnx x

Somebody i knew had show cob who developed lumpy knees. Was getting bit worried before RIHS and somebody reccomended to her........ Hemaroid cream rubbed on the area then wrapped in cling film over night for a couple of nights. Made a difference but did get a few laughs when she told people what she'd done. Don't know if this would work for capped hocks though.

I used pile cream from Tesco on my mares. It really worked and they went down a treat. As it works by tightening the vessels underneath the skin etc. A lot of models and film stars use it around their eyes.
