As above you can see it's lower on the right side, he's not lame but is stiff
on that rein. I have the physio coming out next week, but as I'm a born worrier and have had no end of bad luck I'm looking for some reassurance.

Thank you :) He tracks up nicely when ridden. I had him 5 stage vetting 6 months ago and the vet didn't mention it. It was my saddle fitter who spotted it whilst measuring for a new saddle.

My horse physio told me this is quite common, my mares pelvis was often 'out' and they sort it out, just need regular checks!

My mare gets this - from the sounds of things same as yours possibly :- Stood up square behind I can stretch my arms round and feel her pelvic bones each side and if she's out the side that drops feels lower (really weird because its a muscle issue, but it does!), and when I first started having her treated I could actually see the difference in the top of her buttocks being unlevel however her practitioners done a great job and since a few sessions in I don't see this any more so have to feel her squareness if I suspect her being out (usually very obvious signs - really short stiff canter on right rein and her jump is off).

Mctimoney works absolutely amazing on her - I can feel the difference after when looking for evenness each side, and total difference when ridden. She must have a slight natural weakness on that side and it tends to be after being an idiot in her field that she puts herself out (for want of a better explanation). I have mctimoney on her approx every 3-4 months routinely, then occasionally she will have a problem in between and so I get her practitioner back out and problem solved. I don't know if she covers your area but I have Kate Cox and can't rate her high enough, as well as the fantastic results she gets she's also a lovely lady, the horses adore her, she explains everything thoroughly to you, is always punctual and reliable, and can squeeze me in at a drop of a hat when monster does a silly in between visits! I have found that since investing in an activo-med combi-pro rug (electromagnetic and massage) from FMBs monster pony maintains much better between routine check ups and went from needing Kate regularly in between to hardly ever needing her now in between. However it is a massive investment, totally worth it for me though :).

Completely agree with becca above. My old boy slipped his sacroilliac when young and his pelvis was always going on a tilt until he built up really good muscles .Regular Mctimmony (every 3 months) kept him sound all his life. No need to panic!
