Miscanthus bedding or Shavings

My mare currently has matting and shavings but she’s quite mucky in the stable and also loves a good roll. I find she’s getting really dusty and shavings always stick to her and her rugs.

Is miscanthus bedding a lot cleaner in the sense it won’t stick to her/rugs like shavings?

thank you

I really like the purple Unibed - but if you don't like the smell of lavender, don't get it. It s much softer than the normal Unibed and doesn't stick to them, super absorbent and stays put.

I use miscanthus. My ponies like it a lot which of course means they lay down and sleep in it and roll in it so tails, coats and rugs are just as plastered as with shavings.

Mine at miscanthus too.

I ended up using BedDown Excel for my incredibly dirty, messy mare. The bales are on the pricier side, but the spread volume is more than say a bale of Aubiose.

I tried absolutely everything - shavings and a lot of other beddings make me wheeze.

Auboise was by far the best and lasts longer - but you need to shop around. I found somewhere that sells it for £10.69 rather than the £14 a lot of places charge.
