Miscanthus Bedding

Does anyone have any experience of using Miscanthus Bedding. It is similar to hemcore but cheaper. Any experiences gratefully recieved

I tried a bale to see what it was like. Sorry, but it is nothing like hemcore

Micanthus is very reedy, whereas hemcore is flax. Personally, I wouldn't use it as I like something absorbent on top of my rubber mats.

We've got a trial stable at work and I don't like it. It smells like musty straw, seems to be quite dusty despite watering it every day and is only suitable for horses that do not walk about much in the stable IMO. Nothing like hemcore, which I love.

I use it, sprinkled on matting, and I really like it, I find it very absorbant, the ponies are on an organic farm so we have to use it rather than shavings.
