Pony had been showing signs of lami for past few weeks. Been off grass on restricted hay, bute etc. thought better to assume lami than not. vet then came out and confirmed lami. Farrier came out today and could find no signs of lami but found small holes in both front feet with a few small stones in. Think this is what has caused the lameness. Feel such a twit. Prob is he is a difficult pony to handle - practically wild - so his feet had not been closely inspected until now. Vet had seen how he walked and felt pulses and assumed lami. Delighted it is not lami but wish I had found out sooner. Farrier has now sorted and heat has gone from his feet. Guess you live and learn with horses!
